Growing Boys

He made himself a tea. Just now. He came up to me while I was working on the computer, announced that he was 'in the mood for a tea' and went upstairs and made one. Tea bag (peppermint), microwave, sugar, milk, the whole bit. We encourage him to be independent but my intention was to have him dress himself and put his own shoes on his feet. Not to make his own tea!

And Ian's sitting up on his own. My baby!

I can't beleive he made his own tea!! I'd have a minor meltdown I think if one of my kids did that. I have burned myself many times getting hot dishes (and drinks) out of the microwave, so I worry they would do the same.

And WTG Ian on the sitting. he's growing up way too fast you know.

We taught Shaun how long to cook stuff for. Tea is 45 seconds. He knows all the buttons to push but is only allowed to push those ones or he knows he'll lose the privilege alltogether. He nukes his chocolate milk in the morning and warms up bean bags to snuggle with too. He's way too independent. Now if only he'd put on his own coat!
