Did I Miss The Announcement?

I'm sure I did. There must have been one back in the early spring or something and I just missed it because my life is crazy. Or maybe I flipped the calendar too early and it's still May.

I don't really know but this freaking weather is driving me completely insane! Seriously, it's nearly the middle of June and we're still below normal temps and the rain just won't go away for more than a day at a time. Sheesh, I don't mind the rain so much in the spring but come on already! Enough! All the knowitall weather guys on the radio this morning said things like, "it looks like it'll rain today but the moisture will keep south of the lake", "today will be cloudy, but don't worry, there won't be any rain", "the system that's hanging over the region will stick around for the day but we'll miss the rain." Yeah, what do they know. It's been raining since noon. Yep, 8 hours of miserable drizzle. The kind that makes my hair do strange and unnatural things and makes the boys grouchy because everything just feels damp.

I just want to crawl into bed and sleep until July when it *should* be nicer out. Hibernate in the winter? That's old-school. Hibernating until all the miserable weather is gone in the spring: that's where it's at.
